XFinity Starting Team at Texas: Austin Hill will start on the pole after the NASCAR qualifying has been canceled

Austin Hill starts on the pole for Saturday’s Nascar XFinity Series race at Texas Motor Speedway after Rain canceled Friday’s practice and qualifying sessions.

Wet places stayed on the track on Friday when Nascar canceled qualifying, as officials of the series had to start preparing for Friday night’s Craftsman Truck Series race.

The setup was drawn up by the NASCAR metric, based 70% of the previous racing final by the car owner and 30% according to the position of the owner in the standings.

Hill will be joined by Justin Allgaier on the front row. Jesse Love starts third, Jeb Burton starts fourth and Harrison Burton begins fifth.

Kyle Larson, who drives in place of injured Connor Zilisch, starts the 20th in the 38 car field. Zilisch puts out this weekend, as he is recovering from a lower back injury that was sustained in one last round in Talladega this past weekend.

The green flag is scheduled to blow at the CW network on Saturday at 2:05 p.m.
