Nada Keith Mitchell’s playoffs are overturned in the range of four holes on Saturday morning at the Wyndham Championship.
With the play suspended for the dark on Friday night, Mitchell was among the players who returned to the Sedgefield Country Club next morning to finish his second round.
Mitchell entered a week in Greensboro, North Carolina, ranked no. 72 in FedExCup points. With the first 70 players progressing on the playoffs of Lettex St. Jude Championship next week in Memphis, Mitchell still had work. But in 4 below, a couple of shots clean from the cutting line, he was in a position that at least he buys two more rounds.
Then she hit a disaster. Dealing with a 50-foot for a bird at 15. Holes 15. year, Mitchell left a short 6 feet attempt. He raced his pair of savings next to the hole, then did the same with his Bogey Putt. Double boogy fires him under the cutting line.
Mitchell would give himself a good look of a bird on each of the following two holes. But he turned only one of them, which is on the hard switch with 5 feet on a par-3 16. 16. Before accepting the 11 footers to fall into par-4 17.
Return within the number, Mitchell crossed his drive on a flat hole for the finishing par-4 in rough. After handing his driver back into his Caddy and took off his glove, Mitchell pulled a visor over his eyes in frustration. He then left his approach only short green, chopped around 7 feet next to the cup and missed his pair of savings.
Bogey didn’t just send Mitchell Home in 2 below, she finished his playoff chance. It will not have the right to return to the competition to the opening of autumn in the hood.
“He gave me all this year, probably too,” Mitchell said, whose season included a runner, two top-10s, seven of the top 25s and 15 of 20 cuts. He did not record the top-25 pointing from his T-7 on the Truist. “Physical My game showed the signs, but I just didn’t show up at the moment when the most counted.”

. “I just don’t want my season to finish this week. I would like to be nice on the next week, and I was good to happen, so I was a good situation. I just knew it was in that week.”
