A look at the winners and losers of Sunday’s cup race at Circuit of the Americas.
Christopher Bell – Go back-to-back to his victory in Atlanta with a win at Cota. He has become the first manager since 2018 to win two of the first three races of the season. Bell said: ‘It is surprising to sit here with … 10 play -off bonus points. We are now in a fairly good place. “
William Byron – The winner of Daytona 500 finishes second on Cota and takes the lead of the points. He finished second or better in two of the first three races of the season. In the last ten races, dating back to last year’s playoff game, Byron has one win, two runner-up results, seven top five finals and nine top 10s.
Tyler Reddick – He finished third at Cota, who gave him two top three finishes in the first three races of the season.
Chase Elliott – He was spotted by Ross Chastain in the first corner of the first round and gathered to finish fourth place to achieve his first top -10 of the season.
Kyle Busch – As his winless streak ranges up to 60 races, he led a 42 rounds and finished fifth. This gives him for the first time since last September back-to-back 10s. He also scored 46 points.
Noah Gragson – His end point of his eighth place hampered a line of 16 consecutive racing without a top 10. It was also his first top 10 in a head track.
You gibbs – He ran into the top 15 when he was hit by teammate Chase Briscoe and spun and lost all his track position. Gibbs finished 34th. Daniel Suarez – He turns on his own and teammate Connor Zilisch, makes his cup debut, claps in him and ends the race for both. Suarez finishes 36th. He finished 33rd in Atlanta the previous race.
Austin Dillon – He was turned by Denny Hamlin when Hamlin locked his brakes. Dillon ran into the Top 20 at the time, but was eliminated by the accident and finished a seasonal 35th.
