Winners, losers after the victory of Homestead by Kyle Larson


Homestead, fla .- A look at the winners and losers of Sunday’s Nascar Cup race on Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Winners

Kyle Larson – He won the truck race on Friday, almost won the Xfinity race on Saturday and then won the cup race on Sunday. Larson, who had a 56 points, became almost the second driver to sweep three races in a weekend in Nascar history. Larson of Sunday’s victory said: ‘It wasn’t a typical homestead for me. I could never get the lead until it really mattered, where I usually lead all the rounds that don’t matter, except for the last one. ‘

The 2021 Cup Series champion led the last seven laps on the 1.5-mile oval.

This is the second win on the 1.5 mile oval for the Hendrick Motorsports star.

Alex Bowman – His runner-up is his fourth top 10 in a row and the fifth top 10 in six races this season. He scored a season-high 49 points.

Bubba Wallace – His season-best third place moved him to seventh in points. He has never been so high in the point after six races in a season.

Chase Briscoe – His fourth place linked his best result of the season. He climbed into the points from the 20th to the 13th.

AJ Public – His end point of seventh place gives him back-to-back 10s this season and is also his fourth top 10 in a row on Homestead.

Ryan Preece – His result in ninth place gives him back-to-back-to-10s and slides him to 16th in the points-the final transfer spot to the playoffs.

Justin Haley – He finished a season-best 10th place on Sunday.

Losers

Ryan Blaney – He has not completed the last three races. His engine breakdown on Sunday was the second in the last three races for the no. 12 team. Blaney told his team on the radio about their recent battle: ‘It will eventually go our way. I hope. ‘
