Will Deion Sanders and the Dallas Cowboys reach an agreement?

In 2023, Colorado coach Deion Sanders closed the door on coaching in the NFL, saying: “I will never do that“.

More recently, he said he would just do the thing he said he would never do If he trains his children. Now, there’s a possibility he could coach in the NFL, without coaching one or both of his sons.

Amid reports of communications between Deion and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and betting odds Sanders as the favorite (It’s now morphed into Kellen Moore), WFAA’s Ed Werder says Sanders “He will almost certainly be acceptedDallas job, and that those around Sanders are encouraging him to continue it, and that Jones is “intrigued” by this possibility.

There will be issues to resolve. In addition to debt compensation, there is a buyout worth $8 million. And Deion will have to be okay with Jerry running the show, doing two radio interviews a week, and holding post-game media appearances that will draw attention away from Deion’s press conference (or vice versa).

It’s a great story. The cowboys will surpass the bosses when it comes to public attention and intrigue.

This is what Jones wants. Any team can win. Only Cowboys are Cowboys, and the Cowboys will reach another level in prime time if Coach Prime leads them.
