During the Thursday episode #pftpm, someone requested a list of coaches on a hot seat.
I started to throw out names before I decide to issue a problem, Wapner-style, to the Friday episode. And then I almost forgot to do it.
During my extensive preparation (ieNothing exists for Friday exhibition, I came for the list of five and counted them. Or up. If I just wanted to push you in the attached video, I would say, “They are in the attached video.” But that’s not my style. Especially when I need to enroll enough words to justify full post.
So here they are, from no. 5 to no. 1. And this is my own assessment of the wider, 32-team situation. I’m not reporting anything. I identify the guys I believe that under the largest cloud of uncertainty as seasonally approaches.
5. Coach Pantera Dave Dave Canales.
There is a glass-semi-full vibe around the panther, given that they finished relatively strong 2024 after a catastrophic start. If it happens to the fetus for panthers 2025, everything will be fine.
If the wheels go out, you could write down to channels, which enters the work in your third season.
The key becomes the owner of David Tepper. Will the hard filling, look for results, throwing drinks (at least once) the owner tolerates, say, 4-13 finish?
Channels will not be easy if that happens. Mainly because of the guy who signs the checks, and who betrays pink skating.
4. Coach Cowboy Brian Schottenheimer.
The key to the knowledge of Schottenheimer’s job security is to know if it has also guaranteed money outside 2025. Years.
Usually the head coaches enjoy at least three years warranty. But there is nothing common about the employment of Brian Schottenheimer.
He was at exactly short lists of zero teams during the latest employment cycle. For cowboys who wanted to have an offensive continuity for a quarter of Prescott, he was either Schottenheimer or eagle’s offensive coordinator (new coach Saints) Kellen Moore. Schottenheimer came cheaper.
How cheap? So cheap that there would be no repayment if it is released after one year?
If that is the case, Schottenheimer could need to do enough 2025. years to earn for employment by 2026. year.
3. Colts Coaches Shane Steichen.
Through two seasons, Steichen is 17-17, without playoff performance. His messy predecessor, Frank Reich, went 40-33-1 with a couple of playoff berths and abruptly fired.
Swing and Miss (so far) at Quarterback Anthony Richardson is on Steichen’s record. Richardson’s development failure is located on Steichen’s resume.
As she finished the season 2024. year, she was a haze of confusion whether major changes would be made in Indianapolis. Now that the change of ownership occurred after Jim Irsay crossing, it remains to be seen that Carlie Irsay-Gordon will start the team.
And, most importantly, whether she wants to hire her coach of her first in charge of the season.
As the team performs in 2025. becomes a huge factor in resolving what is currently the main unknown. What puts pressure on Steichen to beat enough games to answer obviously “yes”.
2. Giants Trainer Brian Daboll.
One day, the giant co-owner John Mara said he would stick to GM Joe Schoen and Trainer Brian Daboll. Then Mara said he had run out of patience.
It is a mixed message for Daboll in terms of the potential impact of the upcoming season, and it necessarily puts it on a hot seat.
That shouldn’t. The giants are in a heavy division. They need a lot to help them from the point of view of talent. Mara should give his current regime for more time.
Not just a commitment that in the end feels temporary. It is just how he feels in New York.
1. Coach Dophina Mike McDaniel.
Even when everyone has 0-0, and all teams have likely hope, it feels like a window is closed for a dolphin team that could end up flying straight into a glass of 2025. Years.
There is a dysfunction. There is a restlessness. There is an unregulated situation with a starry player who received a market contract in September, and another Star player who said that he wanted again and who could feel the same way if the season from 2025.
Everything is returning to Tagailo. Can he play well? Can he stay healthy enough to play well?
Can the dolphins get enough games to bring to the playoffs.
Along the way, can I throw a narrative (confirmed by Linebacker Jordyn Brooks) that they leave soft while the time is cold?
Finally, it comes down to whether Stephen Ross will require a big change if 2025. It’s over another disappointing season.
Thirty years ago, the Leon Hess late nozzle holder has fired Pete Carroll after one season by saying it: “I am 80 years old. I want results now.”
Stephen Ross is five years older than Hess was when he said that.
The video mentions several others who did not make the first five. I’ll delay it for it. Mainly because I got at 800 words without having it.
