The Prime Minister Sir Keir Starler has announced that the UK will recognize the Palestinian Statue in September in September, unless Israel fulfills certain conditions, unless a gaza ceasefire is agreed and a vision of a two-state solution.
Benjamin Netanyahu The Prime Minister of Israel reacted furiously to the prediction, saying that the decision was rewarded by the “Hamas terror monsters”.
What would mean if the declaration progresses, and what difference would it make?
Palestine does not exist and there is a situation that does not exist.
It has a high level of international recognition, including groups competing in foreign diplomatic missions and sports competitions, including Olympics.
But due to long-standing discussions with Israel, it has no international limitations, has no capital and army. Due to the military occupation of Israel, in the Western Bank, in the Palestinian Authority, in the 1990s peace agreements, there is no complete control of its land or people. Gaza, where the power of Israel occupation is also in the middle of a destructive war.
Seeing the situation almost as a type of state, the recognition is inevitably symbolic. It will represent a strong moral and political expression but changed little on the ground.
But symbolism is strong. The foreign secretary said David Lammy stated Tuesday in the UN conference, “Britain has a special burden of responsibility to protect the two-state solution.”
The 1917 Balfour declaration went to mention – Arthur Balfour signed as a foreign secretary. British support “The” establishment of a house in the town of Jewish “said the establishment for the first time.
But that statement, Lammy said: He has come with a solemn promise, “nothing will damage the civil and religious rights of existing communities in Palestinian”.
Israeli supporters often emphasize that Lord Balfour did not explicitly refer to the Palestinians or say or do not say about their national rights.
But the territories known as Palestine, Britain ruled through the Order of Nations between 1922 to 1948, which has long been taken as an international business.
Israel was founded in 1948, but efforts have been created to create a parallel situation of Palestine for many reasons.
As Lammy said, politicians “have used to mention the words” two State solutions “.
The sentence refers to the formation of the Palestinian Statue, along with Israel, along the Western edge, including the East Jerusalem and the Gaza band, throughout the lines of the Arab Israeli war.
But international efforts to achieve two state solutions are useless and the colonizings of large parts of Israel in the western bank, according to international law, has largely become empty slogan.
Palestine’s Statue recognizes the UN 193 Member States today.
In the UN, the “Permanent Status of Observer” is reserved, allowing participation but not having voting rights.
Also recognizing the French weeks and recognizing the UK, Palestine will soon enjoy the four members of the UN Safety Council (two other China and Russia).
This will leave the most powerful ally of Israel, at all in a minority.
Washington recognizes Palestinian Authority today by Mahmoud Abbas, from the mid-1990s, but has been recognized by real situation.
Several US presidents have expressed their support for the creation of a Palestinian state. But Donald Trump is not one of them. Under his two administrations, U.S. policies bowed a lot in favor of Israel.
Without the protection of Israel’s protection and the strongest, it is impossible to see a peace process for a two-state solution.
Soon British governments have spoken by recognizing a Palestinian State, only as part of a peace process, with almost some western allies and have a “maximum impact”.
As a gesture, governments thought it would be a mistake. People may feel virtuous, but it would not change anything on earth.
But the events clearly stated the hand of the current government.
The scene of fucking Gaza hunger assembles the anger of the Israeli military campaign and is an important change in the British public opinion. All of them have affected the thought of government.
Blow, among parliamentarians, as well as the front of the closet, became the highest.
In a discussion of the Commons last week, asking questions from all sides of Lammy, asking why the UK did not recognize the Palestinian State.
The Secretary of Health Wes Streets summarized the opinions of many parliamentarians when the government asked to recognize Palestine, “is a situation that is still different.”
But the United Kingdom has simply followed by French Emmanuel Macron last week or Irish, Spain and Norway governments last year.
Sir Keir has chosen to commit to his commitment: Unless the Israeli government ends the end of the suffering of Gaza, to launch the territorial appendix on the western edge. Commitment to a peace process that gets the Israeli Parliament, and two state solution.
Downing Street knows that there is almost no Netanyahu who does this type of peace process. He repeatedly rejected the creation of a Palestinian state.
So the British confession of Palestine is certainly.
Netanyahu expects all the awesome opposition, Sir Keir, in fact, expects “maximum impact”.
But Britain is not in 2025 when the Britain of 1917 was signed by Balfour statement. The other is limited ability to bend his will. It’s hard to know, it will be affected right now.
