WATCH: Johnson Wagner goes up – and down – an 18-foot-deep bunker at PGA West

Johnson Wagner is nothing if not afraid. No matter where the producers put him, he puts his photography skills on display – for better or for worse – for all to witness.

During The American Express’ Round 1 broadcast on Thursday, Golf Channel showed a segment of Wagner battling the infamous 18-foot-deep bunker on the 16th hole at the PGA West Stadium Course.

As you can see from the video above, the three-time PGA Tour winner got out of harm’s way twice, though one was a “skull knee” (which had the better of the two).

Johnson also demonstrated the best way to get into the bunker, which looked a lot more fun than trying to get out.
