Trevor Lawrence: “I will not go to Pittsburgh”

Last week, a rumor emerged that Pittsburg had inquired about the potential trading with Trevur Lawrence of Jacksonville.

Both teams have shot effectively through the media. But even if they did not, Lawrence explained himself in an interview on Monday with Kay Adams that he was not interested in leaving Jaguar.

“This is funny, I really saw nothingLawrence said. “He sent me an agent of a text and was like,” oh this … ” – then of course I saw him after he sent me a text message and said,” This is an existing report. I don’t think there is anything, but I will check it. But I saw him, which is funny, when he sent it to me, I will not say that your heart is falling, but you are like “What?”

“Then I think about it, I have a condition without a trade in my contract, so I knew that if I was trading or if this will happen. I must be on board – and I am not. I am happy here in Jacksonville. I am planning – we want to win with Super Bowl here, and I think we can do so.

Jaguars is currently not a general manager, which is part of the Lawrence agent to contact another source in the media to try to ensure that he knows exactly what is going on.

“I think my agent communicated with (ESPN) Adam Shevter and said:” Hey, have you heard anything about this? “Because you are right, we have no general.” “A new coach (coach) Liam (Queen) wrote me, in fact, I think he is the next day of his existence, and Liam said:” I should not say this, but this does not come from us. “I was like,” Yes, I thought. ”

“So, we are all good. He didn’t even have to send it, there was no doubt on my side.”

Selection No. 1 of the 2021 draft, Lawrence signed a five -year extension with Jacksonville last June. He repeated that even if Stelors is actually interested in him, he is not trying to leave the club that brought him to the league.

“I know that we did not participate in talks about it, as far as Jacksonville goes. I don’t know about the desires and desires of Stelors. Lawrence said:” I don’t know. “I love coach (Mike) Tomlin, he is a good man. But I am working here. As I said, we love Jacksonville. This is the home for us. There is a lot on the football side that we did not accomplish here, and I am excited about what we build.

“The future is very bright, and I want to be the man here for a long time.”
