The two-month tourists after a mortal attack conducted by India, and India and Pakista brought to the edge of the war, is beginning to see the first signs of a tourism revival.
Shabana awwal are making videos of his children while making turns, in Dal Lake, to ride most iconic tourist places in the city of Srinagar.
Mrs. awwal traveled west of Western Rajasthan’s west with a couple and children in 15 – all members of their extended family.
“I’ve visited Kaxmir many important attractions like Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahalmam and I wanted to show all of these places to my relatives,” BBC said.
Awwals planned 10 day trip in March. “Rajasthan is scary in the summer, so we planned to escape from Kashmir to Kashmir for children,” he explains.
Since the plan was planned, the circumstances here have changed. On April 22, militants attacked tourists next to a place of beauty next to Pahalgam people, 26 men were killed.
Tourism is a territory of Jammu and Kashmir, federally administered, and this unprecedented tourist target sent shockwaves through India. The authorities closed 48 tourist destinations in the valley and two thirds of them are still closed.
Omar Abdullah minister, lobbyes have been to re-open these places, attracting visitors to the region, “The effect of the attack was immediate and it felt very well.”
“It was already the exodus of the tourists who came here, and the mass of those who came to those who came. Then in May in India and Pakistan, in the war,” Abdullah said BBC.
“So a permanent impact felt the relationship between the two countries around the two countries that will be in our tourism season, what word do I use for that?
Kashmir, India and Pakistan claimed to be a flashpoint for decades. Nuclear neighbors in southern Asia have had two limited war and conflict over Kashmir. It has been more than a quarter of a century, the region has seen an armed insurgence against India, but also at the summit, tourists were rarely addressed.
Mrs. awwal said that the family decided to continue on vacation because “we weren’t afraid” and “we will face everything that our path has come.”
“We’re happy to move on with our plans. It’s a normal situation here,” he states that he is accused of traveling “media hype.”
Doors are not alone in their optimism. Deepti and Anuj Gandhi Jammu had made plans last week said “There is better than summer holiday destination Kashmir”.
“Kids love to walk with water bikes and then we will go on the lake. We come every year, so why break the tradition now?” He says.
Earlier this week, Ani agency reported that a group of Polish tourists reached the city.
Pahalgam Attack Hotels, Taxi Drivers, Tour Manuals, is a cause of optimism for Shikaras owners.
In April, the President of the Shtikara Owners Bhat Mohammad Bhat says, Dal Lake Boulevard was full of tourists, there were daily traffic jams and many reported that they were making accommodation.
“The attack against tourists was misfortune and tragic,” he noted.
“It has all of us and our lives. Tourists are our lives, tourism is our lifestyle. God knows what we are sinned,” he added, desperately.
Ravi Gosing, President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators, were “Tour Travelers on Tour Tour”. ” In recent years, “says” he was empowering tourism in recent years, many new hotels were bought and new stores were bought. “
Last year, the government said 23.6 million tourists visited Jammu and Kashmir by visiting a 3.49 million valley.
This year, Mr. Gose says, the peak season has been lost in the valley, but tourism can still pick up.
“The natives are very well reception, hosts, guides and shopkeepers are very pleasant and people will be returned. You can see all the flights to be returned.
“I think it’s a national feeling if the purpose of the attack had been a derail of tourism, it will not succeed. But I hope it will not happen again,” he added.
According to reports, some credit resurrection credit for Kashmir’s tourism also goes to a new train link, the first time Srinagar has been connected to the rest of India.
Srinagar’s trains twice from Srinagar to Katra station, Jammu region – has recently made the titles to overcome the “World Single Railway Bridge”.
Katra, which is the starting point for those who visit the Hindu hermitage of Vaishno Devi, attracted 9.48 million pilgrims last year.
Many that arrive since June 7, when they were commissioned by the new air conditioning train, jumped to go to the Kashmirra.
Among the pilgrims that take advantage of the easy connectivity is Ghanshyam Bhanshaam and his wife Mamata Sharma and children. For a pair based Delhi for a partner who enjoys the heat of sugar near Dal Lake, it was a “current decision” reached to Srinagar.
“It took us only three hours from Katra. We will spend the night here and return to Katra tomorrow and go to Delhi,” said Mr. Bharadwaj.
“After attacking on Pahalmame, I wonder if he was traveling to the valley?
“There is no fear. This is my country,” he said.
The chief minister Abdullah said that the pilgrimage is choosing to come to the valley is a good start.
“The coming for hours now, I would like to see you a few days. Sometimes the coming days, I would like to be trusted for a week.
“But at least it’s home, which helps.”
