Thomas Dimitroff will interview for the Titans GM position

The Titans are putting together a list of GM candidates. One name has many years of experience in the business.

Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports that former Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff will conduct an interview for the position.

Dimitroff served as the Falcons’ general manager from 2008 to 2020. He built a team that reached Super Bowl LI. The Falcons qualified for the postseason six times during his tenure.

His first order of business was to draft quarterback Matt Ryan. Three years later, he made a bold move and traded up from No. 27 to No. 6 to draft receiver Julius Jones.

Other notable candidates include Bills director of player personnel Terrance Gray, Dolphins senior director of personnel Reggie McKenzie, Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds, assistant lead GM Mike Borgonzi, Browns assistant GM/VP of football operations Catherine Hickman and Buccaneers assistant GM John Spytek .

Dimitroff interviewed for the Jets GM position last month.

Titans president of football operations Chad Brinker inherited the final say on all football matters Monday, giving the GM position in Tennessee less power than in most other cities. For some teams, however, the coach has the final say instead of the GM
