Lebanon, Tenn. – The AJ All Control team faces extra penalties after NASCAR officials discovered an unforeseen adjustment to the number 16 Kaulig race car before Saturday’s workout in Nashville Superspeedway.
All the cars had to succeed before the race inspection before Saturday’s practice and qualifying sessions.
Allmenderer’s car was on Pit Road when officials suspected that an illegal amendment to the car had been made. The car was back to the garage and Nascar found that a non -approved adjustment had been made. The team was forced to undo the change and had to go through inspection before being allowed to participate in the practice.
Nascar also held the team in the 25-minute session for ten minutes.
Additional fines can be announced later that day.
Allmender is in fourth place in last weekend’s Coca-Cola 600. It made Allmender moving eight places in the season’s standings to 17th place.
Sunday’s race at Nashville begins the second half of the usual season.
