The Dolphins will play in their first NFL game in Madrid

The NFL will play its first-ever game in Spain during the 2025 season, and they announced the designated host team for that competition on Friday.

The Dolphins will be in Madrid for the game at the Bernabeu in Madrid. The stadium is the home of the famous Real Madrid Football Club, but other details such as the match date and the Dolphins’ opponents will be announced at a later date.

“We are thrilled to play our inaugural NFL game in Spain, a country with rich history, tradition and passion and home to the Dolphins’ vibrant fan base,” Dolphins CEO Tom Garfinkel said in a statement. “There is a thirst for soccer in this market, and we are proud to join the NFL in growing the game internationally while engaging with fans both old and new. With the unique collaboration between Miami and Madrid, we believe this is just the beginning for us in this great region.” We look forward to bringing the excitement and Dolphins soccer community to Spain in 2025 and beyond.”

The NFL will play five games in Europe during the 2025 season. The Jaguars, Jets and Browns will be the “home” teams in London while the Colts will be the designated hosts for the league’s first game in Berlin.
