The coach of the private teams will return to the private teams in 2025

The play of the special teams in this season prompted a question to Sean Makdirmout about the future of coordinator Matthew Samili.

McCdirmot said that Smiley would return in 2025.

“I know that there are plays that appeared and do not feel satisfied with them,” said Makdirmut, on Alex Brasky of Billis Degest. “These people learn (moments). I am sure that the Smiley coach will learn from those situations and plays that appeared this year.”

“We cannot give up some of these plays that we have abandoned, and we must be better.”

Smiley has been with Bills since 2017 when he joined the team as an assistant coach for private teams. He promoted him the bills to the coach of the private teams in 2022.

He also held the position of assistant coach for private teams in Jacksonville in 2013-16.
