Kyle Larson took the lead with the restart of the second overtime and won Saturday’s Nascar Xfinity Series race on Texas Motor Speedway.
The win is his second of the season in the Xfinity series. Larson has the no. 88 for JR Motorsports drove in place of injured Connor Zilisch, who sustained a back injury a week ago in a last round accident in Talladega Superspeedway. Larson overcame a penalty for an uncontrolled band on cloth 49 to win.
Taylor Gray ended a best second career. Riley Herbst was third, followed by Austin Hill and Sam Mayer.
The 208 Round race was delayed 11 times for 62 rounds by warnings. Twenty -four of the 38 cars were involved in accidents, most in a Texas XFinity race.
Justin Allgaier was one of the victims. He could not avoid the slower car of Kris Wright and hit him back, sent allgaier in the wall and out of the race after leading 99 rounds and winning a stage. Allgaier finishes 35th.
