Talladega results, NASCAR CUP driver shows after Austin Cindric’s victory

Austin Cindric, who was in Daytona and Atlanta to win in Daytona and Atlanta until the last round, achieved his first win of the season, Win Sunday at Talladega Superspeedway.

Cindric beat Ryan Preece by 0.022 seconds to achieve his first win of the season and third of his career. It was the best career result of sermon.

Kyle Larson, who won a stage, overcame a pit road that has the penalty to finish third for his best result at Talladega. William Byron was placed fourth. Joey Logano finished fifth and gave him his first top five of the season.

Byron remains the score leader and holds a 32 -point lead on Larson in the next weekend’s race on Texas Motor Speedway.

Hendrick Motorsports placed all four of its cars in the top -10 Sunday, with the second time the team did it at Talladega. Chase Elliott was seventh and Alex Bowman was ninth to join Larson and Byron in the top -10.

There were 67 lead changes under 23 drivers. The race was delayed with four warnings for 22 rounds.
