Stevenson: Schofield leaves the war

Shakur Stevenson is confident that challenger Floyd Schofield can use some excuse to pull out of the fight on February 22nd.

WBC lightweight champion Shakur (22-0, 10 KOs) claims Tim Schofield has a spy in his camp to learn secrets, slashes tires and tampers with his passport.

Shakur predicts a pull-out

Stevenson says that it’s not a good idea to keep Kid Austin out of the fight because he’s talking about the match, and that will make him lose fan interest. He should talk about the fight and try to get the fans excited about it.

Scofield (18-0, 12 KOs) doesn’t seem afraid of Stevenson, and he feels confident that he can walk down and take a beating on the light-weight champion. We don’t know how long Shakur will last in the fight as he is coming off surgery on his right hand and he still didn’t use the hand in practice last week.

“It seems they are trying to get out of the war. They are saying, ‘He did all this,’ and then it becomes an excuse when they don’t show up for the fight. They try to blame me and say what I did. There are some rumors about Shakur Stevenson pulling out of the fight. Cigarette talk About Floyd Schofield and his father.

“I don’t have to. We’re dealing with Kid Austin. I saw him fight. He’s going to throw a big left hand,” Shakur Stevenson said when asked about Team Schofield’s claims about them believing they have spies trying to get information about their training methods.

“He (Schofield) is about to switch, and he throws that hard left hand up. He’s about to throw a hard left hook. The right hand is not exactly s***. It is science. Nothing new is created. He’s not going to hit anybody else,” Shakur said.

It would be interesting to know if Shakur believes Scofield is trying to get out of the fight, because that would suggest his belief is not based in reality. Stevenson is not a good judge of people, because Kid Austin is not going to get out of the fight and he is looking at this as his biggest opportunity. The money is good, and Floyd has a chance to win and turn himself into a star.

If Scofield is scared?

“Then I don’t need to do any extracurricular s*** to use it. I think he was scared, and I began to fear the fact that he might pull out of the fight. I’m training my exit, I’m signed, and you guys get out of the fight. That’s some b***a***s*** brother,” Shakur said.

“I didn’t even have to watch the tape (of Schofield). I’ve seen it before. I know what to expect,” Shakur said.
