Starting Team for Daytona 500 Duel Qualifying Racing

Thursday’s two 60 cloth qualifying races set the field for the 67th Daytona 500.

Chase Briscoe, Who won the pole positionwill bring the 23-car field to the green flag in the first race. Austin Cindric starts second in the second race, which has 22 cars.

Only the leading row of Briscoe and Cindric was in Wednesday’s qualifying session for the Daytona 500. The rest of the starting lineup is determined by the results in the two qualifying race of 150 miles, known as the Duel.

The first race starts at 19:00 ET Thursday with the second expectation at about 8:15 pm

The field is ready for the 67th Daytona 500 in two 60-round events at Daytona International Speedway.

Of the 40 slots in the Daytona 500, 36 are guaranteed for chartered teams. The remaining four will be settled among nine drivers in open cars. Former cup champions Jimmie Johnson and Martin Truex jr. Has already closed through their qualifying speeds in the field.

Two Daytona 500 starting places are awarded to the highest open Afrounder in each qualifier.

In the first race, the open cars are driven by Truex, Justin Allgaier, Helio Castroneseves, Chandler Smith and JJ Yeley.

In the second race, the open cars are driven by Johnson, Corey Lajoie, Anthony Alfredo and BJ McLeod.
