Season in the toilet? Xander Schauffel still has time to save, starting with Scottish open

North Berwick, Scotland – as metaphors are going, Xander Schaufele was not hard to connect the points after the worst season, his words, his professional careers.

As Schauffele entered the Media Center at Genesis Scottish Open, he looked on his left side and saw an overjoyed poster about himself celebrated 2022 victory in the Renaissance Club. That the poster was set at the entrance to the male toilet was outside the approx. (Him).

“It was nice to see my restroom photo. That was cordial. I feel crazy about what happens now,” he laughed. “I actually laughed when I saw him.”

If Schauffelena is an estimate of his season sounds a bit sharply, he explained and that he is the only thing he feels like it was good this year in relation to his attitude. There are only one supreme finishing, – a tie for eighth on masters – and is currently located in 57th In the FedExcUp point list, outside the first top 50 for the qualification for signature events for next year.

After breaking the season 2024. year, when he won two majors, his expectations for this season were slightly calving of ribs for the beginning of the year. But he admits the frustration is building.

“I’m trying to do a lot of things, and I think the best part of my game was probably my mental, just, whatever you want to call, just to try to stay positive and act like I’m playing really good,” he said. “But I leave the year as last year, injuries, returning, my expectations and the ability to play did not take place for a long time.”

Schauffele admitted that he is currently in “Chase mode” with his game because the PGA tour season begins to descend with only four weeks before the playoffs start.

“I mean, just playoff, I’m trying to get in a kind of claim to try and feel something, apart from anxiety. I think I was just angry-Ish,” he said. “It’s the greatest emotion of that, frustrating, opposite why we love to be in the competition and see what you can do. That battle, and I’ll pick it up.”
