One day after you broke into the weekend, Scottie Scheffler shot at the leading board at Charles Schwab Challenge.
Scheffler made seven birds and eagle on Saturday and eagle on Saturday, but there was a three back-nine Bogea. He ended up with 6-less 64 years and was T-10, seven shots back Leader Matti Schmid, which was still on the course.
“You always hope you play the perfect circle,” Scheffler said. “It doesn’t basically happen. I mean, three Gods definitely hurts, especially when trying to chase, but I’ve made some good things today. I’ll need to do more tomorrow.”
World no. 1 See for his third victory in as many starts on the tour, feat that was not reached by Dustin Johnson in 2017. years.
Scheffler shot at 1-over 71 Friday and made a cut with a blow. Running in the early Saturday, he made four birds through his inner stretch, then started his halftime of the bird-eagle. On par-5 11thScheffler hit his 334 yard drive, then hit his second shot from 303 meters at 14 feet. Roll is in Puttu and that was just three backs.
“I went down to a really good start. The kind of dream start when you look pretty far on Saturday. So, I went downstairs to the beginning. I definitely want. He was in a great position,” he said. “The golf course just gets causing to the end.”
Scheffler’s momentum fixed the boggy moments back. His Tee shot at a par-4 12. He landed on a fairy tale, and the escape hit his lip and only traveled 35 meters. He also found a bunker from TEE on a couple-3 13. But he sprayed at 5 feet, from where he missed.
All in the whole, he was a better day on the greenery for Scheffler than in two. Round, when he made less than 36 times a trip and lost 2.5 strokes on the ground. While he was still negative in the acquired moves: putting on Saturday, he made almost double the length of travel.
It included 9 bird-footers at 16. and 11-foot for bird in 17. place. But a bad disk and a missed road 6 feet led to Bogee in the last.
“I had to go outside today and I make a bunch of birds, which I could work early in the circle,” he said. “I fought on the touch on my back nine, but I put a decent score in total.”
In addition to last week of the PGA championship, Scheffler deserved his first title of the season in CJ Cup Byron Nelson, down the road from this week. Scheffler tries to become the first person from Ben Hogan, 1946. years, to win in Nelson and colonial in the same year.
