Hundreds of attendees come in their best rainbow-themed outfits, and witness performances from Cebu’s drag queens and other LGBTQ+ artists

CEBU, Philippines – Dressed in rainbow-themed outfits and carrying placards with messages like “Love is for all,” Cebu’s proud LGBTQ+ community marched in the downtown area of the Queen City of the South on Saturday, June 28.

The Cebu City Pride Parade 2025 drew hundreds of attendees to Plaza Independencia, where they began their march and converged to witness performances from Cebu-based drag queens and other local artists.

The parade was done in commemoration of Pride Month, with June 28 being the anniversary of the historic Stonewall Riots of 1969 in the United States — a milestone for the movement and its push for anti-discrimination policies and equality-centered advocacy.
