The strong earthquake has been recorded among the Greek Amorgos and Santorini Islands, a continuous vibration around.
More than 11,000 people have already left Santorini to the side of the ferry and 4,000 people out of the air.
The box continued two smaller vibrations earlier, and 21:09 Local Time (19:09 GMT) was recorded as a 5.2 vibration, making it stronger in recent days. It is estimated that it has taken place in depth of 5 km.
So far the major damage is not reported on the island, but the authorities have taken precautionary measures.
Santorini is welcoming millions of tourists, but it is currently a low season, with local residents and employees that make up most of the evacuations.
Santorini – and other islands in the surrounding islands will be closed until Friday, when they will decide to re-open the authorities.
Vassilis cikilias, climate and civil protection ministers, Santorini were being sent by the Unit of Santorini. Groups with special dogs and a mobile operation center were also sent to the island while helicopters are waiting for the emergency.
The cikilia also said the coastal guard and the armed forces would be available to help the weak people who want to evacuate.
On Wednesday, the Greek Prime Minister Kyrrian Mitsotakis hit a positive tone at a meeting of civil protection experts.
“First, the state trusts science and scientists. We’ve done that in other crises,” said the Prime Minister.
“All plans have been carried out. The forces have moved to Santorini and other islands, we are ready in any case,” Mitsotakis has emphasized.
“That way we will continue with the good hope that things will be better, and the phenomenon will be reduced.”
Mitsotakis finished his statement to the islands to be “calm and collaborate.”
“I understand the fear of being steadily shaking Santorini,” he added that it would be valued in the daily situation.
Santorini Arch Vequitan is known as Helenic – a chain of islands created by volcanoes, but the last major eruption was in the 1950s.
The Greek authorities said that the latter vibrations were related to the movements of the tectonic plate, not with volcanic activity.
Scientists cannot predict the exact location of the time, size or earthquake.
But there are areas in the world, which helps governments prepare.
Earthquakes are the result of the motion of tectonic plates on the earth’s crust. Sometimes these plates are linked together, the plate is called the limit or a line of breakdown.
Santorini and other Greek islands are next to a line like that.
