as if Boxing news – 01/21/2025 – Comments Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero has been offered a May 2 fight against Ryan Garcia after Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz opted out of his previously scheduled fight next month. This is Rollie’s chance to take out a grudge against the ring-rusty Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) on Turk Al Sheik’s card in New York City’s Times Square. Roli entered Cruz was scheduled to fight Angel Ferro on February 1st and did not want to negotiate another fight after the fight. Fans were hoping to see Ryan and Pitbull fight, because it was more fun than seeing Rollie give away the match. It’s unclear if there will be any other fighters who could step in. The 140-lb division has many more talented fighters than Rollie and it would be great if fans could see someone else. Former WBA light welterweight champion Rollie (16-2, 13 KOs) was knocked out by Pitbull Cruz in the eighth round on March 30 last year. That was an incredibly one-sided fight. On the May 2 card, Devin Haney will face Jose Ramirez, and Badu’s Martin Bakole will take on Efe Ajagba. Also, per all sources – this card with Garcia-Rolley and Hany-Ramirez is scheduled for May 2 (a Friday night). #Box https://t.co/dPZGmJgiv0 — Dan Raphael (@DanRafael1) January 21, 2025 Click here to sign up for our free newsletter Related news: Boxing News 24 » Rolando “Rolly” Romero took on Ryan Garcia in May after Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz quit.
