RFK Racing wants to build on Michigan Finish in Mexico

Mexico City -There was no celebration at RFK Racing last week, after for the first time it put three cars in the top -10 in a cup race since July 2016 in Daytona.

Ryan Preece starts second-end first top five starting point on a roadway. Chris Buescher, who has the best average finish in the next Gen’s car at 8.7, starts 16th. Keselowski starts 30th.

RFK Racing placed at least two cars in the top 10 in three of the last four races, which matched what Hendrick Motorsports did, although Hendrick achieved a win and three more top five finishes as RFK in that team.

Shane van Gisbergen scored his second career cup.

Ten races will remain in the regular season after Sunday’s race. Buescher is on a play -off match, 20 points above the track, and Preece holds the final play -offs that enter Sunday’s event. Keselowski needs a win to make the playoffs.

‘It’s a big piece for us, “Keselowski said.” We want to get all three of our cars in the playoffs. It seems to win for all three cars to do so, maybe we get one car on points. We had some very strong races, but haven’t broke through to Victory Lane yet and I am disappointed with it.

Alex Bowman finished or worse in seven of the last nine races.

“I feel that we are making efforts that are close to being able to do so, but we haven’t got there yet. You can’t do anything about the race behind us, but the breeds before we try to just be laser -oriented to achieve results. ‘

With four away races under the last 11 events of the ordinary season, Keselowski sees the opportunity for his teams.

Preece has been strong lately and has scored three top -10s in the last four races.
