It’s Wednesday, January 8, and the Toronto Raptors (8-28) and the New York Knicks (24-13) face off at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Since ringing in 2025 with a win over the Jazz, the Knicks have lost three in a row. They most recently lost to a depleted Orlando Magic team 103-94 on Monday night. Karl-Anthony Towns did not dress for the Knicks. Jalen Brunson scored 24 points for New York in the losing effort. With the Thunder and Bucks on deck, it looks like a must-see for the Knicks if such a thing exists in early January.
The Raptors are also winless since January 1st. Toronto lost at home to the Bucks on Monday night by a score of 128-104. Former Knick RJ Barrett scored 25 in the Raptors game.
The Raptors are currently 1-15 on the road with a -11.2 point differential, while the Knicks are 7-3 in their last ten home games.
