Rams vs Eagles Weather Forecast: Winter Storm Warning for Philadelphia today

Weather will be a factor in today’s Rams-Eagles game.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning covering the southeastern Pennsylvania area, including Philadelphia, where the Rams and Eagles will kick off today at 3pm ET.

“The forecast has turned colder and snowier so we have expanded the winter storm warning to now include all of southeastern PA, including Philadelphia,” the National Weather Service said in a statement issued Sunday morning. “Precipitation moves from late morning into early afternoon with the heaviest snow falling from 4 to 9 p.m., when snowfall rates can reach or exceed 1 inch per hour.”

The forecast calls for a starting temperature of 35 degrees, with snow likely to fall for most or all of the game.

It looks like the cold and snow will favor the Eagles at home, but the Rams said this week that they are preparing for the weather and will be ready. If the Rams can pull off an upset today, they’ll be the home team for next week’s NFC Championship Game — when they’ll hope fire-ravaged Los Angeles is ready for them to play the home playoff game they weren’t able to play in the wild card round .
