It is looking more and more likely that Pete Carroll will be the Moors’ next head coach.
Momentum has been building toward that outcome and multiple reports on Friday say the team is in negotiations with Carroll about a deal that would bring him to Las Vegas. No deal has been made yet, but that appears to be where things are headed.
Carroll spent 14 seasons as head coach of the Seahawks before parting ways with the franchise after the 2023 season. He won a Super Bowl, lost another in Seattle and also won a national title with USC after two less successful stints as head coach of the Jets and Patriots earlier in his career.
If the deal is completed, Carroll will become the third person to be the permanent coach of four different franchises. Bill Parcells and Marty Schottenheimer are the others while Wade Phillips is the full-time coach for three teams and the head coach for the fourth.
