Pocono starting team: Denny Hamlin has become the oldest Cup language winner since 2017

Long Pound, Dad. – Denny Hamlin won his 44th Career Cup on Saturday, while William Byron and Bubba Wallace had trouble qualifying at Pocono Raceway and starting at the back of the field.

Hamlin won the pole with a shot of 172,599 km / h for the 2.5 mile track. The 44-year-old manager becomes the oldest to win a cup language, as Matt Kenseth won the pole at the age of 45 at Richmond in September 2017.

Hamlin is back on the track this weekend after missing last week’s race in Mexico to stay home for the birth of his son.

Chris Buescher starts second after a round of 172.325 mph. This corresponds to its best starting point of the season.

Carson Hcevar (171,825 mph) qualified third, John Hunter Nemecheek (171.789) started fourth and Cole Custer (171.6389) completed the top five.

Byron, who had the fastest shot in practice, crashed into qualification. He became from the tunnel, hit the outdoor wall and found the track and sat inside the inner barrier.

Bubba Wallace, who was second fast in practice, will also start at the back. His car did not start when it was time to qualify and did not make an effort. Wallace’s car co-owner Hamlin said the no. 23 has a starting issue.

Byron and Wallace will be connected at the back of the field by Josh Berry, whose team had to replace the distributor after exercise and did not make an effort to qualify.

Brennan Poole will also start at the back after his car failed three times. He may not qualify and will have to do a passage on Pit Road after taking the green flag in Sunday’s race.
