Petrovic, Alker and Gonzalez Share Lead on Firestone in PGA Tour Champions Major

Akron, Ohio – Tim Petrović recorded 4-mans 66 on Friday for the share of the second round with Steven Alker and Ricardo Gonzalez in the Kaulig company championship, the third main championship in PGA.

Petrović closed a bird on a couple-4 ninth to match Alker and Gonzalez to 5-Mandus 135 on Firestone in the south. Alker, from New Zealand, was 66. Gonzalez, Argentine player who shared the lead of the first round with Sorena Kjeldsen, made 68.

Miguel Angel Jimenez was a stroke after 66. Freddie Jacobson was 3 below 67.

Angel Cabrera, who has already won two major in the tradition of the region this year, and the Senior PGA championship at the Congress was 1 below 68.

The winner of the tournament gets a place at the player championship on TPC Piladi next year.

Firestone South was previously hosted by the World Golf Series and then the World Golf Championship. It is a strong test for players that next goes to American older open in Colorado.
