Patriots don’t expect Christian Gonzalez to exercise this week

Patriots Cornerback Christian Gonzalez will not arrive at the field of practice for a while.

Gonzalez left practices on Monday with an undisclosed injury and remained outside the field on Tuesday and Wednesday. The main coach Mike Vrabel did not offer any details on the problem of Gonzalez at his press conference on Wednesday, but he said he did not expect him not to see him in action for several days.

“No update,” Vrabel said, through the transcript from the team. “I mean, I wouldn’t expect him this week, and just like everyone else, I know he’s very hard and focusing on what he can do as opposed to what he can’t. But I wouldn’t expect to see him this week.”

With more than a month before Patriots’ game, it is time for patriots to take precautions with Gonzalez, so they are sure that the vital defensive piece is 100 percent for the regular season.
