Patriots announce hiring of Josh McDaniels, Terrell Williams, Jeremy Springer

Josh McDaniels is officially back with the Patriots.

The Patriots announced Wednesday that McDaniels was hired as the offensive coordinator on new head coach Mike Vrabel’s staff. It’s the third time McDaniel has served in that role, as he worked for Bill Belichick twice and was part of New England’s six Super Bowl wins.

Vrabel was a part of three of those teams and the two will work together to try to get the Patriots back to that type of success.

The Patriots also confirmed that Terrell Williams will be the defensive coordinator and Jeremy Springer will lead the special teams staff. Williams worked under Vrabel at Tennessee and spent the 2024 season with the Lions, while Springer left Jerod Mayo’s staff in New England.
