The name Golden fits what appears to be a pattern for the Mahomes family, whose two older children — Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick “Bronze” LaFon, 2 — also have metal-related names or nicknames. Patrick and Brittany Mahomes received Sterling in February 2021 and Bronze in November 2022.
