China’s sixth -ranked Zheng Kinwin has performed arthroscopic surgery on his right elbow after feeling “endless pain” for several months.
22 -year -old Olympic Champion, K Wimbledon lost in the first round Katina Seniakova said Saturday that the surgery was a success.
“In the past months, I am working with endless pain in my right elbow during training and matches. Despite trying to manage it, discomfort never goes away completely,” the right -handed player said in an Instagram post.
“After consulting with the elbow experts and fully discussed with my team, we decided that the arthroscopic surgery was the best option to solve the problem perfectly. Yesterday, I spent this procedure successfully, and I am grateful to get it behind me.”
Zheng writes that he will recover throughout the next few weeks and months.
