The Serbian tennis star opened up about his scan with injured words earlier on Sunday Being booed At the Australian Open, he stopped playing in his semi-final. He said at his news conference that he had a torn muscle, but was criticized by fans who questioned how serious the injury was on social media.
Djokovic seems to have backtracked when he posted a photo of the MRI on X to prove the doubters wrong.
“I thought I’d leave it here to all the sports injury ‘experts,'” he wrote.

The veteran tennis star did not offer any further information, such as the exact diagnosis she may have received or any timeline for her recovery.
The 37-year-old Djokovic had his match against Alexander Zerev halted after dropping the opening set in a tie on Friday. After shaking hands with Zverev and the chair, Djokovic packed up his gear and started heading to the locker room.
Some of the spectators at Rod Laver Arena played. Djokovic watched his two before calling it quits.

During the on-court interview, Zerev castigated those who booed Djokovic.
“I know everyone paid for tickets and we hope everyone wants to see a great set of five,” Zerev said. “But you have to understand – Novak Djokovic is someone who has given this sport, for the last 20 years, absolutely everything of his life.”
Djokovic was hurt in the first set of his previous match, a four-game win over Carlos Alcaraz in the quarters on Tuesday night.
Djokovic connected with his left forehand and had a similar return that started against Zerev.

“I did everything I could, basically to manage the muscle tears I had,” Djokovic said in his news conference on Friday.
“Towards the end of that first set, I started to feel more and more pain,” he said. “It was too much for me to handle at the moment. An unfortunate end, but I tried.”
