The European Central Bank is “not overly concerned” about the impact of inflation abroad on the eurozone, the institution’s president, Christine Lagarde, told CNBC on Wednesday.
When asked about the possible impact on Europe if inflation revives in the US, Lagarde said: “If inflation revives in the US, it will certainly be a problem for the US, that’s where the first and foremost consequences will be. .”
He added, “we are not too worried about the export of inflation to Europe”.
