Through two postseason games, Philadelphia’s passing attack has been nothing to write home about.
Some of that is a result of Saquon Barkley’s success on the ground, as he had a particularly dominant performance in Sunday’s 28-22 win over the Rams. The snow conditions in the second half of that divisional round were also not conducive to pitching.
But leading receiver AJ Brown has just three receptions for 24 yards combined this postseason. He got a total of 10 targets.
Still, head coach Nick Sirianni said he’s not worried because he knows Philadelphia can win in more ways than one.
“Yes, we do everything we can to win every football game,” Sirianni said. “I think you saw (on Sunday) that we were able to win the turnover battle. We managed to take care of the ball in the elements. They had some turnovers that we were able to make (on Sunday). So again, do your best to win every game. There’s going to be a game where we’re going to have to throw a bunch, and there’s going to be a game where we’re going to have to run a bunch.
“Again, I wouldn’t say I care about anything. I know we can win either way. I know we can win by passing the ball. I know we can win by running the ball. Just to make something more happen this year, we won running the football.”
Now, Sirianni continued, the Eagles will be playing for the NFC championship, which is a special situation.
“I know we have the right people on offense, our coaches,” Sirianni said. “Yes, we do what we have to do to win every game.
“(And) if that means throwing it 50 times, that’s what we’re going to do. If that means running it 50 times, we’ll do that.”
