NASCAR Saturday schedule at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

The Nascar Cup series will be on the track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Saturday, and practice and qualify for the first time this season on an oval of 1.5 miles.

Poland position was a poor barometer for the race winner in Las Vegas. Only once (Kyle Busch in 2009) in 34 races won a cup driver after starting first on the 1.5 mile oval.

Stage victories were a good predictor for Victory Lane: Three of the last four winners on Las Vegas also swept the phases.

Hendrick Motorsports drivers won five of the past eight Cu Rces in Las Vegas, including four consecutive in March.

Austin Hill is the only active XFinity driver with a win on the track.
