Claudia Sheinbaum president Mexican letters wrote to Google to ask the company to change the company to change the Mexican Gulf.
Donald Trump signed an executive request requiring the body of the US body, surrounding the US, Cuba and Mexico, signed in the first week of office in the Gulf of America.
But it will appear on Google Maps with the new name for people based on the US – it will be maintained anywhere else in the world, it will save the current name for hundreds of years.
There is no international organization to be responsible for naming water bodies.
But Mexico said the name of the United Nation’s Law cannot legally change the name of the sea.
“(Rename) It could be with 12 nautical miles from the United States coasts,” Shinbaum said.
Google has not yet responded to BBC’s comment requests.
On a Monday, he said in a social network statement: “We have long-time practice to apply changes when they have updated in official government sources.”
Like McKinley Mount Mount will also rename McKinley Mountain in the US, following Trump’s other command.
“When official names change between countries, maps view the official name of users,” he said.
Sheinbaum has criticized Google’s decision, saying that the company must respond to the “International Sea” name “term of office”.
However, Trump seemed to play Mexico’s movements made by joking, Google can make some decisions of additional resets.
“By the way, we will also ask Mexican America to appear on the map,” he said.
Before he joke Sheinbaum to change the country as “Mexico Ameria” in the country.
“He says to the American Gulf,” Shinbaum said when Trump signed the executive command.
“It’s Gulf of Mexico for us, and is still a Gulf of Mexico for the rest of the world.”
