Libanan’s kontra-SONA highlights Marcos’ misses

MANILA, Philippines – House Minority Leader Marcelino Libanan delivered on Monday, August 4, his kontra-SONA or counter-SONA, a tradition in the lower chamber in which the minority leader or opposition figures rebut the president’s State of the Nation Address.

In his privilege speech, Libanan pointed out the absence of a wage hike and regulations on online gambling in President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s speech, among others.
