LA residents wake up to hellish skies and charred homes

On Wednesday, residents of Los Angeles woke up to several fires that continue to burn across the city. At least two people have died, and dozens more have been injured.

The video shows a resident watching his home burn, comparing his neighborhood to driving through a “war zone.”

LA Fire Chief Kristin Crowley says the four ongoing fires — Palisades, Eaton, Hurst and Woodley — are 0% contained and “stretching” responses to their limits. The Palisades fire, which broke out Tuesday morning, has burned more than 1,000 structures, officials say.
