Homestead, fla. -Kyle Larson spun and won the Nascar Craftsman Truck series on Friday night, and he hopes he will end on the same track on the same weekend with the second driver wiping three Nascar races.
The only driver who won all three national series races on the same track that weekend was Kyle Busch in 2010 and ’17 on Bristol. This is the third time Larson has run all three races on Homestead.
“This is the main goal that is going on this weekend was to win all three,” Larson said in response to a question from NBC Sports. “After the turn I was like ‘damn, it’s over now. “Could just make a few things happen to win a win.
“As you said, you can’t win all three without winning the first. I like my chances the rest of the weekend. I think Austin Hill was really good last year (when I won the Xfinity race), so he’ll be difficult. … I know my car will be good. Just have to keep it out of the wall as I did tonight.
“I know my cermot will be wonderful. I felt like the weekend, I thought the truck was the biggest unknown and perhaps the hardest to win just because of my inexperienced in trucks, just the short runs, the aggression of the drivers and all of it. It’s good to get through this one. ‘
Larson chased Riggs in the top five when he got on the track, contacted Riggs truck and spun to bring about the final caution of the race at LAP 91 of the 134 Rounding Meeting.
“I just went wrong the run I had,” Larson said.

He started the 22nd again with 40 laps to go. Larson ran his way through the field and got help when Corey Heim, who led a 78 round with a race, cut out the power on his truck several times.
“At the end of the day we had the fastest tundra, the fastest truck out there, I thought,” Heim said after finishing third. “I just drove the race and at that point led with a second or two and tried to drive the void.
“After the issue happened for the first time, I fired it again and I could drive past the guys again. It was just unreal. … It was difficult to get into a rhythm with all the problems that happened. I think at the end of the day we know that we had speed. ‘
Riggs finish second. Tyler Ankrum was fourth. Daniel Hemric has completed the top five. Ross Chastain placed sixth.
