Kyle Larson to have a new pit staff at Darlington

Darlington, scdeks four consecutive top 10 finishes, including a win two weeks ago, Kyle Larson will have an almost new pit staff at Darlington Raceway this weekend.

Jafar Hall replaces Blaine Anderson as the leading tire changer. Mike Moss replaces Calvin Teague as rear tire changer. Allen stalls replace RJ Barnette as Tire Carrier. Eric Ludwig replaces Brandon Johnson as Jackman.

Teague and Barnette were both on Larson’s well staff when he won the 2021 championship.

Only Fueler Brandon louder remains the same for the number 5 team of last week’s race in Martinsville.

“The track too tough to tame” begins its 75th season to play host to Cup series races.

Hall and Ludwig were with Larson’s team in Phoenix and Las Vegas when Anderson and Johnson Nascar mandate suspensions served with two breeds for a tire coming from the number 5 car on the track at Cota.

Hall and Ludwig were with Justin Haley’s team in the other races this season. Moss and stalls were with Haley’s team all season. Hendrick Motorsports delivers pit staff to Spire Motorsports.

Hall, Ludwig, Moss and Stalls were part of a crew with Haley who has turned among those in the Hendrick camp in some of the faster pit time.

“We looked at many different factors of what the old (no.) 5 group did wrong, but what this other group did right,” the crew head Cliff Daniels said on Saturday morning at Darlington Raceway about the change. “We worked very hard in our pit section of just to print, push the edge of performance and whatever it is to keep moving the needle, certainly many teams perform at a very high level on Pit Road.”

Daniels said the previous no. 5 -put staff in recent racing ‘solid’, who finished third in Phoenix, ninth in Las Vegas, first on Homestead and fifth in Martinsville.

“Solid is definitely a wonderful word to use,” Daniels recently said about the performance of the crew. “But we were not excellent times. … Over the course of this season and during the end of the previous season, the incoming group set up really fast times, very consistently performing at a high level. ‘
