Knapp goes from 59 to 70, but still leads a conscious classic on palm beaches

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. – Jake Knapp was burning 11 shooting from his opening on a floral classic and was still staying in front of the bird, on Friday for 1-below 70, and from 1 under 70 and one-matte-shock for Matthie Pavon.

Knapp, who made 12 birds on Thursday for 15. A circle of 59 or lower on the PGA tour, went 10 holes without a bird. He had a double Bogee when his tine was won the water. One of his better shots hit a spray cap and bounced at 40 meters away.

Knapp wasn’t sure what to expect. It was close to a perfect one day and the fight next.

“I’ve never had to follow 59 in the tournament before. I’m all new to me,” Knapp said. “Yesterday, everything was only by clicking a smart smart wise, a distance control that was really good, managed to control the flight and windows. All that was perfect.”

There was more wind in PGA national. Cuntts found the center of the cup managed to burn the edge.

“A couple of passing shots, but nothing about,” he said.

One player had a reason to celebrate, along with shedding several tears. Florida State Junior Luke Clanton was easily made with 5 smaller 66 years – he was just four shots – giving him enough points for the 21 year to get the PGA tourist card after the NCAA championship at the end of May.

Clanton already has two endings of starting on the PGA tour and a couple of other 10s. It is used to a large phase, and he has another chance this weekend.

The same goes for so many other others.

Knapp was in 13-Mandus 129. Papon, the Frenchman who won Torrey Pines last year, had 64 and briefly had guidance until he misses the bird on the last hole.

Daniel Berger, who grew up near PGA National, went out in 31 to share leadership and did not do the other bird for the rest of the way. He fell with Bogey in which one shot was piercing from muck and weed at number 11 and gave a good limit to harm.

Berger was 68 and was in 11-under 131, along with Michael Kim (66), Doug Ghim (63) and Jesper Svensson (67), in Rookie who deserved through the European tour.

“I just lost some money on my back nine,” Berger said. “I don’t know if I didn’t eat enough food and I started feeling there. But hit bad 9-iron, joined him in danger, and I actually ran away with one just to make Bogey.”

The former Captain Ryder Cup Zach Johnson showed enough games at 49. years to post 66 and joined Rickie Fowler (68) and Taylor Montgomery in 132.

Jordan Spieth was there with them, a 50 foot ribbing on 16th of the road to 16. hole. But the day after birling all three holes “Bear Trap”, par-3 17. He had it for lunch.

Spiet pulled Tee shot in danger. His 25-foot was released by 4 meters per hole, and he missed the return to make Triple Bogee. Birčica is 18. years gave 70, but he had six shots that came out on the weekend.

Spieth came agreed to Classic for the first time after Arnold Palmer invitations on Bay Hilla chose not to give an exemption of sponsor at the triple main champion, and not min Woo Lee, Mackenzie Hughes and Rafael Campos.

Knapp opened with birds after 59. years – he started on the family hole – and then he went quietly. He made Bogee from Bunker 16. years. He found a bunker from TEE on a par-5 18. Who kept him to reach green in two.

It seemed that the day was all understood against him on a couple of-5-third when his second shot was just the right of the green, hit the spraying hat and wrapped about 40 meters away near the ninth team. It’s nice to 8 meters for a bird and then birds the next hole and returned to the track as the the tee snapshot found water on a couple-4 sixth.

“Obviously, it wasn’t so big today,” he said. “I’m going a little to practice a little and make sure a few things are cleaned. But mostly, you can’t really exaggerate with that course. You can’t get it over or something. I just have to take what he gives you.”
