Keyshawn Davis posted a picture of himself facing off against his friend Shakur Stevenson on Instagram today and asked his fans if this is the fight they want to see. WBC lightweight champion Shakur said this week that he wouldno way” Keyshawn fight for no money.
On the face of it, Keyshawn looks like a big welterweight standing next to the regular lightweight Stevenson. I don’t know how Davis will do at 135, he’s big, but I understand why he chooses to fight in this weight class. Given the size of the welterweight giants, the choice is easy.
Keyshawn (12-0, 8 KOs) is using fake hype to get people talking about him. Next month he will fight WBO lightweight champion Dennis Berinchik on February 14 at the Hula Theater in New York’s Madison Square Garden. The event will be shown live on ESPN+. There is no buzz about Davis’ fight with Berinchik because the fans aren’t interested in it. Instead of showing courage and following other champions, Keyshawn chose the weakest link to fight for the world title.
The fight that won’t happen
It’s too bad Keyshawn and Shakur aren’t fighting because that would mean there would be an undisputed lightweight champion, but the two share the same division and refuse to join him. That’s assuming Keyshawn can take the WBO title against Berinchik because if he loses that fight with his weak link, he’ll never win the world title at 135.
I can understand the commotion that he’s running to fight smaller guys at 135 instead of fighting Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis at 147. Keyshawn doesn’t stand a chance at Boot, and probably neither do any of the other belt holders in the welterweight division. It is like a fish that can only live in certain waters. They took the fish out of its habitat, and it cannot live. That Keyshawn to T.
“Is this what you all want?” Keyshawn Davis took to Instagram to talk about the feud between him and his friend Shakur Stevenson.

βOn Valentine’s Day, I found no love. I’m going out there and getting the ball. Berinchik, you’re a hell of a fighter,β Keyshawn Davis said. YouTube Channel talks about his fight against WBO lightweight champion Denis Berinchik next month on February 14th on ESPN+.
βI’m knocking him out. You know what I do. It will be a great victory. “The merchant” he gave me the chance, in front of big checks. We are all going to be happy. It’s going down on February 14th, at the Hula Theater at MSG,β Davis said.
