Kent, Ohio – Kent State set up the main coach Kenni Burns on administrative leave.
The University said in the statement on Thursday that the burn was placed on leave with the salary and that Greg Glaus, the Executive Deputy Director of Athletics monitored the administrative responsibilities of the program. Also, the school said that the offensive Coordinator Mark Carney would be in charge of field activities.
Kent State did not provide details about why it was burning on leave.
Kent State plans to start spring practices this weekend.
Burns has a record 1-23 in two seasons with gold flashes. They were 0-12 in the last season, the fifth time in school history, they left the secluded.
Before arriving at Kent State, Burns was a runner in Minnesota.
