Joe Biden has confirmed the Israel and Hamas ceasefire agreement in Gaza

Joe Biden said the cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas would “stop the fighting in Gaza” and boost “much-needed” humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

In a speech on Wednesday, the US president said the deal meant Israeli hostages held in the territory would “soon” be returned to their families.
