Javerev Beats Beats Defending Champ Popirin to get to Toronto’s semifinal

Alexander Javerev, a Toronto-top-descendant, held a rally on Monday to defeat Australia’s Alexi Popirin 6-7 (8), 6-4, 6-3 to reach the semifinals of the National Bank on Monday.
