The province of Cebu is rife with scam hubs targeting unsuspecting citizens

CEBU, Philippines – Amid efforts from law enforcement to crack down on scammers all over the country, a series of police-led raids have gradually uncovered the illicit operations of international swindlers in Cebu.

In most of these scam hubs, the modus operandi involves luring unsuspecting victims into making online purchases for fake products, sending money via online transfers to apply for imaginary jobs, or even spending cash for unknowns pretending to be romantically involved persons.
