What can we expect from Senator Pangilinan in the next six years?

Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan is back in the Senate. He ran for a fourth term on a compelling platform: “Hello, pagkain (food). Goodbye, gutom (hunger).”

Now he is a member of the majority, chair of the Senate committee on agriculture, and judging from an important intervention he made during the very first session of the Senate in the 20th Congress — a bridge between majority and minority. What brought him to this pass, and what can we expect from him in the next six years?
