The International Olympic Committee approved the addition of six new mixed gender teams on Wednesday, including competition that will have the best male and women’s golfers together in the Country Club Riviera.

No other details were available immediately.

The IOC proposal last year was included with 36 holes that would have 16 teams (selected from 60 men and 60 women who are already qualified for an individual goggle) playing one round of alternative shots and another of four.

The event would take place on Sunday and Monday between individual tournaments for men and women 72 holes. This would require a change to move male competition on Wednesday-Saturday schedule.
